Wednesday Evening Book Club:
All of our club readers fell in love with "The Forgotten Garden" we enjoyed the fact that the book covered 100 years and we all became so involved in the characters. We were surprised at every chapter and could not believe that Ms. Morton was able to weave so many important facts together in the end but, most of all we were surprised that we were kept in suspense the whole time. It was never easy to figure out what way the story was going to take us. It all starts with Nell she is four years old and sent on a ship across the ocean. When she is found on the docks in Australia by the dock master he decides to take her home and raise her as his own. When Nell is 21 he tells her she the truth and that begins her obsession with finding her true identity. She gets close to putting the peices together when she needs to stop searching and raise her grandaughter Cassandra. When Nell dies, Cassandra finds her journal and decides to finish what Nell started and she discovers who put Nell on the ship headed to Australia and why they needed to send her away. Several of our readers called this book simply.... Beautiful!

Paranormal / Fantasy Book Club
Tall Dark and Dead was liked by some of our readers, however some of our readers felt the author was trying to mix humor with darkness in the vampire world and they would have liked for it to be either one or the other. The dark parts just interrupted the funny book it could have been. The gals who enjoyed the book have gone on to read the second book of the series.
We meet the second Wednesday of each month. Please Join Us! Refreshments will be served.
